Fantasy Fest 2010 Habitat for Insanity

Updated on November 3, 2010

Fantasy Fest Fun Events

It's that time again boys and girls. Time to take out your sexy, scary, or plain disturbing costumes and meet us down on Duval St. Key West for this year's Fantasy Fest theme Habitat for Insanity.

The 10 day party has already started but you still have time to get down, book a room and strut your stuff. Release some of those pent up inhibitions and cut loose, run naked, you know that’s exactly what some of us need. Well nudity is not legal but you can get darn close to it at this event. The annual crazily anticipated parade doesn't take place until Saturday, Oct. 30th at 7pm - Captain Morgan's Fantasy Fest Parade!

Best Scheduled Events for Fantasy Fest

This year there are about 30 different scheduled events. The most popular ones being:

The Headdress Ball where the most elaborate headress can net you a $1000 first place.

Irish parties are classic and this years Finnegans Wake Green Party promises to be the ultimate with live music.

Big 'Uns Locker Room Romp is a first fantasy party and contest celebrating the festivities surrounding the big game.

The Pet Masquerade & Parade is cute and hysterical as you watch pets and owners disguise themselves in their best.

Sloppy Joes is hosting their 27th Annual Toga Party.

There's also the Pajama and Lingerie Party so take out your sexy, skimpy lingerie for tis one or enter their Hugh Hefner and Marilyn Monroe contest.

If You are more the Pimp and Ho type , there is that party too.

Other scheduled events include the Rum Barrels's Pirate Bash and Bourbon St. Tea Dance and Balcony Brouhaha.

With names like these Who wouldn't be tempted? I know where I’ll be and hope to meet some of you out there getting your sexy on.

Fantasy Fest Unscheduled

Don't you hate when you go on vacation and your traveling companions have a strict itinerary for you to follow? I've been guilty of that! With the best intentions of course. There's so much to see you just don't want to miss out. You won't have that problem here. Everything going on is in pretty close proximity. The scheduled events are spread out on different days making it possible to attend more than one party if that's your wish.

For the laid back casual type you can just stroll Duval St. leisurely and pop in to some of these events and see if they strike your fancy but people watching is an event on its own.

During the day do a little fishing, engage in some watersports, do an island tour and at night dress up in your best adult outfit and do the town. Key Weird is the perfect place to be for Halloween!
